Strengths: Harvin is a natural playmaker who can do anything with the ball in his hands. He is a deep threat who can take it for six at any time. He has an amazing combination of deep and lateral speed. Harvin eludes defenders very well and is a rare yards after catch threat. In the open field, he runs and has a similar mentality to a running back. He has a very solid muscular build that has good bulk in his upper body. Because of his, he can shake defenders who have gotten their hands on him. On short routes like comebacks or screens, he turns upfield quicly after securing the ball. Has solid hands, and can catch the ball in traffic.

Weaknesses: Despite all of his playmaking ability, he should stuggle to adapt to a pro style offense. He has under-developed route running skills because of the design of Florida’s offense. He often had plays designed to get him the ball in space, which won’t be as effective in the NFL. On his fly routes, he looks unnatural if the corner can run with him and provide coverage. When he is catching the ball in movement, he can short arm the ball. His hands are solid, but he won’t always extend his arms to secure passes. In college, he never saw press coverage. In the NFL, he will not have the strength or technique to beat the press.

Strengths: A high-character player. Well respected by his teammates and coaches. Is a hard worker. Came back quickly from a knee injury his sophomore year when they expected him to miss the rest of the season. Spends a lot of time in the weight room. He understands the game and is well prepared. Follows his blockers and knows when to cut back. Has a good understanding of the passing game. Is short but well built. Has strong legs and can run through tackles with his strength. A very good athlete who has quick feet. Has good acceleration and has the ability to make people miss. Is powerfully built. Came back for his senior year to show his durability. Covers up when running between the tackles. Has not had a issue with putting the ball on the ground. Has quick feet and seems to be able to side step opponents. He catches the ball with his hands and doesn’t let it get into his body. Seems very fluid when he slides in the flat to receive the ball. Is powerfully built and is tough to bring down. Defenders need to lock him up or he will break through their tackle. Low center of gravity. Has very good speed and quickness. Once he gets in the open field, the defense will have a hard time catching him. Has excellent top-end speed. He has the patience to wait for his blocks and sees the hole and explodes through it. Scans the field well and has the ability to set up his blockers and cut back when the play develops.
